J: Title rules
How do Titles work (There's 55 Title possibilities):
You own the Title that is the greatest score among your points of Title score.
Your Title can transform into another Title if your 2nd greatest Title score represents at least 75% of your main Title and is not equal to another of your Title scores.
Your Title gains a Lv. for every 1000 points of your displayed Title from the level 1 to 100, 5000 from the lvl 100 to 200, 10.000 from the lvl 200 to 300, 20.000 from 300 to 400, 40.000 from 400 to 500 etc..( you start Lv.1 ) ( there's a new avatar picture each 100 Lvl ).
If your Title is a Basic one, Add 75% of the points to your level .
Mission points earned are rounded down to the third decimal place (no more than 3 numbers after the point)
The Legendary Title doesn't count as a transformation but is added as † (alt0134) in front of the Title if you are at least Lv.2 and if it is at least equal to 50% of the total of your included greatest Titles.
Ex.: - My greatest Title scores are,[Apostate 10.000 points],[Rock7.500 points],[Rebel.4999 points].. (In this example my included greatest Titles are
Apostate & Rock, to be Legendary I would need 8.750 Legendary points)
- My Title would be: † Stoner Lv.18 (17k + the starting Lvl 1)
- If my Rebel points were 7.500 as well, I would be: Apostate Lv.18
- Whenever any of your first highest Titles have the same amount of points you can choose one.
- Whenever you have at least 1 Point in a Mission you gain it's Title and the Lv.1
- Whenever you win a [Tournament] that's official, video recorded online & counts at least 4 players participating the tournament, you can add your Mission points gained during the tournament + 1% of your basic mission points in a brand new [Master] reserve and refresh your Title to use your [Master] Title replacing TCM by Master in front of it, if your [Master] reserve is [Legendary], add † Master in front of your Title.
- Whenever 2 players with the same Title & Lvl enter a same room the first in the room renames "1st" & the second "2nd" in front of the title, remove it whenever you level up or gain a different title. (I recognize some people might say it's cringe but at some point that's the fun of a roleplay game, hidden cup events on aoe2 used this kind of roleplay names for example, I myself would like to call myself a personal name but the roleplay is way more fun when the Title of people playing with you reflects their experience and gameplay style, what could be seen as cringe though would be to refuse renaming like if it were so important like the end of the world.)
Down level & cap aiming to prevent gaining too much unfair points (each versions & played colors of the maps have a cap of mission points):
- If you play against a non TCM member you can't gain more than the cap of the position you are playing, if you do remove the points of your choice that exceed the cap. (the chosen mission points have to keep their initial amount)
- If you lose against a TCM member who exceeded the mission-points cap of his played position, add as many as those points that exceeded the cap to a d-level count, you lose points for your level equal to those.
If you reach the cap against a non TCM member or a TCM member who has a negative level from d-level points, add only 10% of mission points for the next 10 games in 1v1 against him.
In 2v2 the same rule applies but as a different category. If you reach the cap against non TCM members or TCM members who have a negative level from d-level points (or player 1's positive points minus the player 2's negative d-level points = negative or positive), add only 10% of mission points for the next 10 games in 2v2 against these 2 players together. (Note the names on your mission points text doc as a reminder).
/!\ Panoramix and Shepherd points are doubled on the final result (the doubled points don't count for CAPS or tournaments).
/!\ All points earned in 2v2 are divided per 2.
TITLE AIM: The title aims to show your experience ; game style and specialization in the Custom maps, the fun and interesting part is that everyone will end up with a different path and will be known for his feats through his Title.
TITLE FAIRNESS: Concerning the non Master titles, there's no way to prove that a player isn't unfairly farming mission points on afks or noobs.
To calculate fairly your progression and to end up with a title that represents your true game style & experience you should:
- On the player you don't know but who want to play custom maps: Always try hard to give him no chance & crush him as soon as possible, if you notice that your opponent is a complete Troll & afk just get the few points out of it and leave the game as if you won, especially in Twisted river. Now that you know this player is a noob or Troll who has no chance at all to win against you, you should disable the mission counting when you play against him.
- Situational: When you wanna abort a game because it is laggy on the first minutes or you state with your opponent that it is only a test, disable the mission counting but don't hesitate to apply the mission counting on all of your training PvP games!
Unfair abuse of Mission farming on noobs will be quickly spotted in a small community like the AOE1's one anyway, after all keeping the trustful persons in the clan and ejecting the proud liars is a good improvement for the group.
In 2v2s, whenever the first player wants to resign without suffering the de-level of his team mate who would be continuing the game, he needs to pause, note the timing and discuss the resign option with his ally, if his ally agrees to follow the resign, they call it, unpause and resign before the next +1min. If both players resign that way they both can de-level otherwise the first player calling the resign is exempted from de-level.
